Terms & Conditions

Bookings: A deposit of $400 will be required within 7 days of reservation to confirm the booking. The balance of the charter is to be paid before commencement of the charter, by cash, credit card or 30 days in advance for cheques.  At peak periods (Xmas, Easter, long weekends), we reserve the right to ask for full payment to be made 30 days prior to the charter commencing.

Security Deposit: A bond of $500 cash or credit card must be lodged before departure. The bond will be refunded on return, less service charge, cost of repairs or damage to boats or equipment or cost of extra cleaning. The bond is returned to you within 48 hours of returning the boat.  Very occasionally, the cost of repairs/replacement is not known within this time frame.  In this case, we reserve the right to hold the bond for up to 7 days, until the cost can be ascertained.

Service Charge: Note that an additional charge (currently $25 per hour) will be applied for every hour that the houseboat's motors run, to cover fuel and gas costs.

Charter Contract: A charter contract stating the conditions under which the boat is chartered will be entered into before commencement of the charter period. Provided this contract is adhered to, liability for damage to the boat or equipment will be limited to the amount of the security bond. If the contract is breached, liability will not be so limited.

Cancellation: All monies paid will be refunded, less $50 cancellation fee, provided sixty (60) days notice is given. Otherwise, refund will be dependent upon the boat being re-chartered for the same period and fee. We strongly recommend Cancellation Insurance be obtained, for a nominal cost, especially for bookings during peak periods.

Minimum Age: At least one person per group must be over 21 years of age.

The Charter: The charter is made on the understanding that the boat is placed at the disposal of the hirer on the date booked unless the management is prevented from doing so by mechanical breakdown or unforeseen circumstances. Should that occur, all monies paid will be refunded in full. However, the hirer shall have no claim on any account against the management.

Forbidden: No pets, firearms, or dangerous substances are allowed on board.
